PREVIOUS NEWS OF PSBA INC. - QUEZON CITY
DATE POSTED: JULY 04, 2013

To The Faculty, Academic Staff, Non-Academic Staff, Administrative, Support Services Personnel and Students of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City and their Guardians / Parents:

The undersigned President, Jose F. Peralta and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Juan D. Lim have deemed it necessary to issue this Circular in connection with recent disturbing and disruptive events at the Philippine School of Business Administration Inc. – Quezon City (PSBA Inc. – Quezon City), precipitated by the  unlawful  and illegal acts of Benjamin P. Paulino.

  1. Illegal Occupation of PSBA Inc. - Quezon City Campus by Benjamin P. Paulino.  As you may have noticed, there are currently numerous heavily armed security guards posted at the PSBA Quezon City Campus. These security guards, under the direction of Benjamin P. Paulino, barged into the PSBA Inc. – Quezon City Campus last 15 June 2013, and, using force, coercion and intimidation, grabbed the service firearms of the duly installed PSBA Inc. – Quezon City security guards, forced them out of their posts, and illegally took physical control of the PSBA Inc. - Quezon City Campus.
  1. Upon Paulino’s orders and direction, his heavily armed security guards have barred the duly elected directors and officials of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City from entering the PSBA Inc. – Quezon City Campus.
  1. Benjamin P. Paulino is no longer the President of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City. Jose F. Peralta is the duly elected President of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City having been elected as such during the meeting of the Board of Directors of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City on 04 May 2013. This was unanimously affirmed by the Board of Directors of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City during its meeting held on 16 June 2013.
  1. Evidently, Benjamin P. Paulino seeks to continue illegally acting as President of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City at all costs; even if it may adversely affect the students, faculty and staff of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City.
  1. Welfare of Students, Faculty and Staff is our Primary Concern.  While Benjamin P. Paulino has resorted to force to gain physical control of the PSBA Inc. – Quezon City Campus, we, on the other hand, would only resort to legal and peaceful means to resolve this conflict.  Our primary concern at this time is the welfare of the PSBA Inc. – Quezon City community and stakeholders. For the students:  that classes go on as usual; and for the faculty and staff: that they are compensated in a timely manner for services duly rendered.
  1. Benjamin P. Paulino has Prevented the Officers of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City from Performing their Duties and Functions.  Benjamin P. Paulino's act of barring the directors and officers of PSBA Inc. – Quezon Ctiy from entering the PSBA Inc. – Quezon City Campus have prevented us from discharging our respective duties and functions, including the collection of tuition fees from students and payment of salaries of the faculty, academic staff, non-academic staff, administrative and other support personnel.
  1. Benjamin P. Paulino is Not Authorized to Collect Tuition Fees.  We understand that Benjamin P. Paulino and his cohorts continue to collect tuition and other fees from the studentsBenjamin P. Paulino is no longer President of PSBA Inc. – Quezon CityBenjamin P. Paulino or anyone acting under his direction is not authorized to collect tuition and other fees from students.  We also understand that payments made by students after 16 June 2013 were not machine validated. Thus, tuition fee payments made on or after this date may not be honored.
  1. We, therefore, advise the students (or their parents / guardians):  DO NOT PAY YOUR TUITION AND OTHER FEES AT THE PSBA INC. – QUEZON CITY ACCOUNTING AND / OR CASHIER'S OFFICE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
  1. Students and / or their Parents / Guardians Can Pay Their Tuition and Other Fees at UCPB – Loyola Heights Branch, Katipunan Avenue, Q.C.  For the Students paying their tuition fee on a  staggered / installment basis, applicable deposit slips of the aforementioned bank must be accomplished with the following details:

Bank Name: UCPB Loyola Heights Branch located at Katipunan Ave. Q. C.

Account No.: 20-136-000041-0 (In Trust for the Benefit of PSBA Inc. – Q. C. students)

Student Name: (please print)___________ Student No.:__________Course:_________

Please keep the deposit slip for later verification. We assure you that payments made to this bank will be duly credited in your           favor.

  1. Non-Payment of Salaries Due to Benjamin P. Paulino's Actions.  To the Faculty, Academic, Non-Academic Staff, Administrative, and other Support Personnel: We empathize with the difficulties you may be undergoing due to Paulino's actions.  Since Benjamin P. Paulino has prevented us from entering the PSBA Inc. – Quezon City Campus, we cannot process your payroll at this time. This is Benjamin P. Paulino's fault.  Benjamin P. Paulino and his cohorts should be held responsible and accountable for their actions. In due time, they will face the consequences of their actions.
  1. PSBA Inc. – Quezon City’s Management Action.  We have advised the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of these developments. We shall keep the SEC and CHED apprised of any new development and shall continue to coordinate our actions with them.
  1. PSBA Inc. – Quezon City’s Legal Action Against Benjamin P. Paulino.  Finally, our lawyers are currently preparing the appropriate criminal and civil actions against Paulino and his cohorts in order to protect the rights and interests of PSBA Inc. – Quezon City, its Students, Faculty, Academic, Non-Academic Staff, Administrative, and Support Personnel.
  1. Contact Us.  Should you have any questions or concerns, you can send them thru our official facebook email account at psbaqcfbadmin@psba.edu.
